The LS6 6.7-liter V8 powering the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is assembled at GM Flint Engine Operations in Flint, MI, where Corvette V8 production has continued since 1955. Displacing 409 cubic inches with a 13.0:1 compression ratio and a 95-mm throttle body, this naturally aspirated engine produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque at a 6,600-rpm redline. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, Magnetic Ride Control, and an electronic limited-slip differential are standard. The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X pairs the same LS6 V8 with a front electric motor for 721 combined horsepower and all-wheel-drive capability.
Technology Features
This new Chevy sportscar at is available in three performance configurations. The standard package pairs Magnetic Ride Control™ with Michelin® Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires for year-round capability. The Z52 Sport Performance Package adds Brembo® iron brakes from the Corvette Z06, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires, and Performance Traction Management. The Z52 Track Performance Package brings carbon-ceramic Brembo® brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, a carbon aero package with splitter, dive planes, and wing, and a quad center-exit exhaust. Available carbon fiber wheels in four finishes round out the options.
