Get to Know Your New Chevrolet Warranty
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
This warranty lasts for three years or 36,000 miles and covers most of the parts and components in a new Chevy model. If during the warranty period your car requires repairs at our Chevy service center due to defects in materials or workmanship, the associated parts and labor will be covered at no cost. Also covered is towing to our dealership, if needed.
The bumper-to-bumper warranty does not cover routine maintenance, minor noises, or vibrations that occur during normal vehicle operation. It also will not cover damage incurred through an accident or insufficient maintenance.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
Your car's engine, transmission, and drivetrain are all covered by the powertrain limited warranty. It runs for five years or 60,000 miles for gas-powered cars, extending to five years or 100,000 miles for diesel-powered vehicles such as the Chevy Silverado. Meanwhile, if you buy a hybrid or electric car, the vehicle's high-voltage battery and its key electric propulsion components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles for your peace of mind.
Not covered by the powertrain limited warranty are components that incur natural wear and tear. These include wiring, hoses, and sensors. Also, routine maintenance needs, such as oil changes and brake-pad replacement, are not covered by this warranty.
Corrosion Warranty
To ensure the quality and attractiveness of your car's exterior, the corrosion warranty covers surface corrosion of the sheet metal for three years or 36,000 miles. Plus, you get six years or 100,000 miles of rust protection, which covers you if you find holes rusted through the body panels.
Complimentary First Maintenance Visit
To further sweeten the pot, when you purchase a new Chevy at our Waterford, MI Chevrolet dealership, your first service visit is free. This includes an oil change, a multi-point vehicle inspection, and a tire rotation.
