Engine
As an all-electric vehicle, the 2021 Bolt EV is equipped with an electric drive unit, which pumps out 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and a lithium-ion propulsion battery. The Bolt EV also comes with a 120-volt portable charging cord and a 7.2 kW onboard charging module, which charges about 4 miles with the 120-volt portable charge cord or about 25 miles with the available 240-volt 32-amp charging unit. Standard on both models, the Regen on Demand steering wheel paddle can help slow the vehicle down faster to send more energy to the battery through the regenerative braking feature.

Performance
Now standard on this year's Premier trim level, the DC fast charging capability can charge the Bolt EV's battery up to 100 miles in 30 minutes at public DC fast-charging stations. At full charge, this electric vehicle can drive for 259 miles. The Bolt EV also has good acceleration, going from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

Interior
Inside the 2021 Bolt EV, the five passenger seats are covered in deluxe cloth trim in the LT or perforated leather-appointed trim in the Premier. You can choose from dark galvanized or sky cool gray trim colors. Both the driver and front passenger seats can be adjusted manually, and the rear seat can be split 60/40 and folded for additional cargo storage. The Premier trim comes standard with heated driver and front passenger seats as well as heated rear outboard seats. The Bolt EV's infotainment system features the Chevrolet infotainment system with a 10.2-inch color touch screen, Bluetooth compatibility, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatibility, and voice command. The Premier trim comes with the option to upgrade to a Bose seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer, wireless device charging, and two charging-only USB ports in the rear.

Safety Features
To keep you aware and safe on the road, the 2021 Bolt EV comes with an HD rear vision camera on the LT trim, and HD surround vision on the Premier. Both trim levels come with OnStar and Chevrolet Connected Services capabilities, a pedestrian safety signal, and the teen driver feature. The Premier trim comes standard with safety features that are also available on the LT, such as lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, and rear park assist. Available safety features on both models include automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and lane keep assist with lane departure warning.
