There’s a certain confidence that comes with shopping vehicles with warranty protection. From the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty to the Chevrolet Corrosion Limited Warranty, there are so many ways your vehicle is covered. Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet shares how they protect your vehicle.
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
If your vehicle has any defects from its original materials or workmanship, you’re protected with the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. The warranty covers the cost of replacement parts and labor, as well as towing to the nearest authorized dealership, if needed. It lasts for up to three years or 36,000 miles. The coverage does not protect against any damage from accidents or misuse, and it doesn’t cover maintenance.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
With the Powertrain Limited Warranty, defects in your powertrain are covered. This includes your engine and its many components, your transmission, transfer case, and your drive systems. However, there are some exceptions, such as your radiators, hoses, coolant, wiring, and more. You can see all the details outlined in your warranty booklet. This warranty lasts for up to five years or 60,000 miles.
Additional Protection
Chevy vehicles are also covered by Corrosion Protection, which protects your body and sheet metal components against corrosion due to defects in materials or workmanship. The Chevrolet Corrosion Limited Warranty lasts for up to three years or 36,000 miles. They’re also covered with Rust-Through Protection, which protects the same parts from actual holes in your panels, due to rust. The coverage lasts for up to six years or 100,000 miles.
